That loan paid off…
FC Bayern has signed South Korean talent Hyunju Lee (19)! As the German record champions announced on Tuesday, the midfield talent will get a contract until 2025.
Lee was loaned out in January and performed well in the amateurs. In the second half of the season he played in one U19 game and six amateur games. He was sidelined for several weeks due to a hand injury.

This season he has already scored two goals in two games for the second substitution in the Regionalliga Bayern. He missed the last three games due to a cold.
Campus manager Joachen Sauer explains: “In the good six months, Lee made a very good impression on us. We are convinced of him in terms of sport and have therefore decided to sign him firmly early on.”
Holger Seitz, sporting director at the Bayern Campus: “Lee is a good dribbling and very agile player who is also very dangerous in goals. We are very pleased that we have now been able to sign him on a permanent basis and are very excited about his further development with our amateurs.”
He himself says: “I’m very happy to have signed a new contract and to continue on my way at FC Bayern. I want to continue to do everything I can to be successful with the team this season.”
Lee joined from South Korean Premier League side Pohang Steelers in January. For the club, however, he did not appear in the first team, but only in the U19. In spring he was loaned to Munich with a purchase option. Bayern have now drawn this prematurely. It is not known what Bayern have to pay.
However, it is unlikely that the midfielder will appear for the professionals in the near future. Nevertheless, Lee can draw attention to himself with strong performances …
Besides that: According to SPORT BILD information, the club will bring the Spanish junior international Javier Fernández from Atlético Madrid. The deal will go through as soon as the top talent celebrates his 16th birthday. It can then be officially registered in January.
