Al-Nassr is once again interested in the loan of the Bosnian midfielder

Xavi recently confirmed that “he had convinced him and he stays with us”

One of the players that could be added to the casualty list that FC Barcelona contemplates is Miralem Pjanic. The midfielder seemed to have earned a place in the first team squad. During the preseason he convinced Xavi and his departure was frozenbut the truth is that he has not yet played his first official match with Barça.

According to the ‘Cadena COPE’, Al-Nassr would have reactivated contacts with Pjanic to achieve his loan during this season. The Saudi Arabian team has Rudi García as coach, who already coincided with the Bosnian during his time at Roma. One note: the transfer market in that country is open until September 17.

Olympique de Lyon would also be trying to close his loan, a team in which he already played from the 2007/08 season to 2011/12.

His salary could be an impediment to finding a way out, but last year he already left on loan to Besiktas with a 50% reduction in his file.

It should be remembered that in one of the last press conferences that Xavi Hernández offered, he confirmed that he would stay in the team: “Pjanic has convinced me and he stays with us”, said the Blaugrana coach. However, it has not yet been released in any of the three days that have been played so far.

His loss would coincide with that of Nico, who left on loan to Valencia in search of more minutes seeing that the club had decided to bet on Pjanic as a hypothetical replacement for Busquets; as well as the one from Collado to Elche with the same contractual conditions. If his departure is confirmed, Barça would only have five midfielders with a first-team record: Busquets, Pedri, Sergi Roberto, De Jong and Kessie; in addition to Gavi and Pablo Torre.
