Families enjoyed a free festival at five Legacy locations | News

With a 3-kilometre race inside the Legado Videna headquarters, the second edition of the “Ayllu Pukllay, Family Festival” officially began, which continues to establish itself as one of the most important sports and recreational festivals in Lima, where children, young people and Adults get together to enjoy the five Pan American venues for free.

This initiative is organized simultaneously by Legado at its five venues, every first Sunday of each month, encouraging sports practice through recreational workshops held in coordination with the different sports federations in the country and institutions related to sports. sport.

This time, the central activity was held at the Legado Videna venue, where the general public enjoyed 3×3 volleyball, 3×3 basketball, 3×3 futsal, badminton, cycling, table tennis, capoeira dances, marinera and zumba classes, adding an emotional show for people with disabilities, highlighting the participation of Rommy Infantes, world champion sailor and gymnast.

“Ayllu Pukllay is a clear sign that we need spaces for sports and entertainment to share with the family. Today is again a special day, because parents can bring their children to enjoy a good time for free. Sport forms values ​​and leads us along the path of good”, said Federico Tong, executive director of Legado.

Therefore, Legado is an open house for sports and family recreation, promoting integration, healthy coexistence, respect and inclusion. This grand opening will be repeated on Sunday, September 4.

In this way, entire families will continue to enjoy the Legacy venues, which includes the one in Costa Verde, located in the district of San Miguel, where BMX is developed in the “little feet” modality, with the participation of the smallest. There is also handball, skateboarding, BMX freestyle, speed skating, among other disciplines.

Villa María del Triunfo Legacy developed table tennis, rugby, hockey, baseball and other sports activities. In Legado Villa El Salvador, the climbing, gymnastics, volleyball, badminton, taekwondo classes stood out; while at Legado Punta Rocas the skate and board open day will continue, with free access to the dry pools.

Ayllu Pukllay is a Quechua composition (ayllu = family, ayllu = carnival/festival) that alludes to a festival in the family.

Legado’s mission is to guarantee quality infrastructure and services. Likewise, it works with various sports organizations, for the massification of sports, also seeking to promote high performance and the positioning of Peru as a hub of world sports.
