Verstappen, representing the “Red Bull” team, did not succeed in qualifying because his car had problems with power in the last session, so the Dutchman started the race only from the tenth starting place.

This did not prevent him from slowly climbing higher in the race a day later and becoming the leader less than 20 laps before the finish. Verstappen was convincing on the Hungaroring track, celebrating a safe victory in the end, ahead of the closest follower, Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes, by almost eight seconds.

In addition, Verstappen’s team-mate Sergio Perez of Mexico is hot on the heels of the Monaco driver, who is only five points behind in second place. Also in the Constructors’ Cup, the “Red Bull” team is the clear leader with 431 points, ahead of “Ferrari” by 97 points.
