Double Olympic champion Jessica von Bredow-Werndl showed good timing when she gave birth to her second child.
The dressage rider watched her brother Benjamin’s ride at the World Championships in Denmark “from the delivery room” in the Internet video, as she reported on Instagram: “But after that it started pretty quickly.” The rider from Tuntenhausen happily announced on August 11 from the hospital: “I became a mom again this morning.”
The rider, who was twice awarded gold in Tokyo, gave her brother a “hammer round” with his horse Famoso. The 38-year-old from Tuntenhausen achieved the best German placement in the freestyle at his first World Championships and took fourth place.
