Fernando Tatis Sr. did not last long in coming out in defense of his son, Fernando Tatis Jr.
He immediately criticized Major League Baseball, an entity that understands how badly he handled his son’s case and his recent 80-game doping for testing positive for Clostebol, a drug that contains steroids.
And he went on to explain what happened in the case of his father. “He put a bang in his hair, that’s why he got a fungus and proceeded to buy an ointment, which he didn’t read contained steroids,” Tatis Sr. said.
He points out that his son’s image has been destroyed by “nonsense”, since that steroid does not improve performance and was only used to treat a fungus on the head.
“He got a fungus on his neck as a result of a fringe, so he put on a spray and puts it on, it contained a steroid and the mistake was that he didn’t read, it totally went to his body and he tested positive for that, I understand that it was an error that could really be handled”, expressed Tatis Padre to the Midday Show, a space that is transmitted by Color Vision.
Continuing in defense of his son, he adds that this was not the way to destroy the image of a player for a nonsense, for a simplicity like that, “he said.
He understands that MLB mishandled the son’s case because Tatis Jr did not use the steroid to cheat in the game.
