Dodgers and fans pay moving tribute to Vin ScullySeventh Inning

Vin Scully He was one of the people who touched the most lives throughout his long career in the Major League Baseball (MLB) as one of the most prominent voices around the game in the entire United States. Therefore, the entire campus The Los Angeles Dodgers and the fans paid a more than moving tribute to the late chronicler before starting the game on Friday, August 5 against the San Diego Padres.

The Dodgers staged tributes throughout Dodger Stadium, adding bouquets wherever there were memories of Scully.

At the entrance to Dodger Stadium, with the welcome sign indicating the address as 1000 Vin Scully Avenue, fans dropped letters, banners, T-shirts and signs thanking the man who became the voice of the Dodgers throughout of his Hall of Fame career.

Under the broadcast booth of the official network of the Dodgers, a sign was placed with the legend “we will miss you”.

Minutes before the game, both the Dodgers and Padres lined up at the first and third base lines, respectively. Both teams participated in a moment of silence, followed by a video tribute to the legendary chronicler. The letters of “Vin” were painted behind the mound.

Then, the entire Dodgers team gathered around the mound to watch another video tribute to Scully, which included photos with some current and former Dodgers players and broadcasters. Manager Dave Roberts then shared a few words about Scully and asked those in attendance to shout out the phrase that immortalized the narrator: It’s time for Dodger Baseball.

The Dodgers will wear an honorary patch to recognize Scully for the rest of the season. Some of Scully’s most prized possessions, including her World Series rings, will be on display at Dodger Stadium beginning August 19.
