SC Heerenveen won 0-4 against Vitesse on Saturday, thanks to a hat trick from Sydney van Hooijdonk. Despite this, Valentijn Driessen is not impressed.

“I didn’t think that Vitesse keeper was bad,” says Johan Derksen with a laugh at Today Inside. “They hire them and then I think: where is your brain now? That boy has been disappointing everywhere and you know that you are bringing in a bad keeper. He always goes to the ground with his legs.”

Van Hooijdonk managed to outwit Scherpen three times. “It’s only against Vitesse. Feyenoord scores five goals against Vitesse and Excelsior three. Then I don’t think three goals are that special,” said Driessen, after which Derksen takes the floor again. “He did very well and he is also a nice boy. He and Sarr wish each other success. They were doing well.”

René van der Gijp, who played for SC Heerenveen in the past, agreed with those words. When he sees the images of the 0-4, he states that the striker shoots the ball ‘very nice’. “Isn’t it a good striker for Heerenveen? He and Sarr are doing well, aren’t they?”
