Deportivo Cali confirms injury to Kevin Velasco and Onel Acosta, Liga Betplay | Colombian Soccer | Betplay League

During the postponed game of the first day of the BetPlay League II-2022 between Deportivo Cali and Jaguares de Córdoba that finished 2-2. Two players from the local team had to leave the field of play due to physical problems. The first was left-back Onel Acosta, closing the first half, and then winger Kevin Velasco in the 75th minute.

Full-back Onel Acosta suffered a major rotational trauma to his left knee, where he returned to the field of play, but seconds later he had to be taken off on a stretcher. He was transferred to a medical care center, the pertinent tests were carried out, which revealed a complete injury to the anterior cruciate ligament and compromised an important part of the menisci. He is undergoing the necessary procedures for his operation and later his recovery, which will take between 6 and 8 months.

About winger Kevin Velasco, Mayer in a press conference had commented that he suffered from a discomfort in his left adductor, which he had suffered days ago in training and Portela reconfirmed it. In addition, he commented that he will be reviewed more closely in the afternoon, when the team has recovery training.
