In December 2021 it was reported that Demaryius Thomas was found dead at your home. In July it was revealed that the former wide receiver suffered havoc due to his time in the league and finally the cause of his death was determined.
According to the Fulton County, Georgia Medical Examiner’s Office, reported that Thomas died of “complications arising from epilepsy.”
Also, Kevin Vaughan of 9NEWS Denverreported that the coroner could not determine if the epilepsy suffered by Thomas it was a consequence of blows to the head during his NFL career.

For his part, Mike Klis, also from the Colorado chain, indicated Boston University found no direct relationship between epileptic seizures and CTE. Thomas developed epilepsy after a road accident in 2019.
Fulton County Medical Examiner said it was opinion of Boston University doctor that regarding Demaryius Thomas “there is not a direct relationship between (CTE) and the development of the seizure disorder.”

During the autopsy of the wide receiver it was revealed that he developed chronic traumatic encephalopathy during his time in the NFL. Thomas’s condition was in stage two, so the player had erratic behavior and signs of Parkinson’s disease.

During 10 NFL seasons, Thomas had 724 receptions, 9,763 yards and 63 touchdowns. In addition, he received two invitations to the Pro Bowl and was champion in Super Bowl 50.
