The UAE team confirmed yesterday that Tadej Pogacar will not participate in the Vuelta from next August 19, which will not prevent the Emirates team from presenting one of the most powerful line-ups in the peloton. It includes Juan Ayuso, who will make his debut in a three-week race at the age of 19, accompanying Marc Soler and under the leadership of Joao Almeida. Brandon McNulty will be one of the outsiders to take into account and they will complete the formation of an always combative Josean Fernández Matxin Pascal Ackermann , Sebastian Molano, Ivo Oliveira and Jan Polanc.

Ayuso will share a squad with Carlos Rodríguez (Ineos), from Granada, the other great standard-bearer of the new generation of the state squad. It has also been known in the last few hours that Simon Yates will lead the BikeExchange and that Juan Pedro ‘Juanpe’ López from Seville and Mads Pedersen from Denmark will lead the Trek. Bora, for its part, has confirmed Sergio Higuita and Jai Hindley, two men who can fight for the podium alongside Emanuel Buhcmann, although the German team has not given up the massive arrivals in which it will play against Sam Bennet.
