Between August 15 and 21, a new edition will be held at the Vancouver Challenger. This contestIt belongs to the ATP Challenger circuit, with category 125, and is played on hard courts. Share a week with Santo Domingo and Grodzisk Mazowiecki.
The Challenger circuit returns to the tracks of Vancouver, in western Canada. This contest was organized for the first time in the 2005 season, and weight champions such as Marcos Baghdatis, Kevin Anderson and Daniel Evans, among others, have passed. Curiously, the greatest historical winner is the Israeli Dudi Sela, with four championships in this Canadian city.
The top seed in this edition will be the Japanese Yoshihito Nishioka, who has just done a first part of hard courts, with the final of the ATP Washington included. Continuing with the preclassification appears the Czech Jiri Vesely and the Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech.
Among the Latin players to stand out in this event, are the Argentine Juan Pablo Ficovich and the Spanish Fernando Verdasco, who also face each other in the first round. In addition, the Chilean Nicolás Jarry says present, seeking to add experience and hours on this surface, in the weeks prior to the US Open.
