Colombia will host the South American Basketball League

Barranquilla continues to gain ground in international basketball and it has been confirmed that the Elijah Chegwin Coliseum of the capital of the department of Atlantic will host group A of the FIBA South American League.

Zone A, which will be made up of Titanes de Barranquilla, San Martín de Corrientes, Liga Sorocabana and the champion of Ecuador it will be played between September 30 and October 2 in the “arenosa”.

On the other hand, Tigrillo from Medellín, the second Colombian representative in the contest, will be part of group C together with Unifacisa of Brazil, Sao Paulo of Brazil and Olimpia of Paraguay.

The area will be played at Campina Grande, in Brazil.

Groups, venues and dates of the South American Basketball League:

Group A – Elijah Chegwin Coliseum – Barranquilla – September 30 to October 2:
Titanes de Barranquilla, San Martín de Corrientes, Liga Sorocabana and the champion of Ecuador.

Group B – Corrientes, Argentina – October 7-9:
Regatas, Oberá Tennis Club, Bauru Basketball Team from Brazil and the Bolivian champion

Group C – Buenos Aires, Argentina – October 14-16:
Boca Juniors, Aguada Club of Uruguay, Deportivo San Jose of Paraguay and Lions Club of Quilpue, Chile.

Group D – Campina Grande, Brazil – October 21-23:
Unifacisa, Sao Paulo, Tigers of Medellin and Olympia
