Albacete shooting guard Chuso González, 27 years old and 1.92 tall, is the third signing of Alimerka Oviedo Baloncesto for next season. After the additions of point guard Romero Crouch and insider Adriá Domenech, the Asturian team adds the former Zunder Palencia player, a team that eliminated the Asturians in the last play-off for promotion to the ACB.
Chuso González, trained in the Lucentum Alicante youth academy, has a long history with teams in the FEB leagues, both in LEB Plata and LEB Oro. In the former he played with Alicante himself, with Albacete, Tarragona, two seasons in La Roda and one more in Real Murcia. From there he climbed a step to join Almansa, from LEB Oro, where he spent two seasons. This last campaign had little prominence in Palencia, one of the strongest teams in the category.
The player joins Oviedo Baloncesto with the aim of adding more minutes on court and being more of a protagonist in the category. Chuso Gonzáles must provide knowledge of the category and outside shooting in a team in which, presumably, there will be many players without experience in the LEB Oro.
With the arrival of the shooting guard from La Mancha, Trifón Poch already has six players at his disposal, Oliver Arteaga, Marc Martí and Hansel Atencia, who were already there last season, and Crouch, Domenech and Chuso González. Although, Students are interested in Attendance, with a contract at the OCB.
