Chelsea FC: Transfer target is no longer allowed to train! Coach is fed up – FOOTBALL

In the hot transfer summer, all the fuses can go haywire…

Chelsea have been looking for a new left-back for weeks. At the top of the wish list: Marc Cucurella (24) from Brighton & Hove Albion.

However, the “Seagulls” have no interest in giving up their star player and are thus blocking any transfer efforts by the Tuchel club.

According to English media reports, Brighton rejected a recent offer of around 60 million euros. Chelsea would probably have to pack a lot more so that Cucurella can really move to London.

Brighton coach Graham Potter has had enough of the exchange poker. Like The Athletic, he has banned the Spaniard from training!

The Englishman does not want any unrest before the season opener against Manchester United. That was his goal in the past – but at the time he probably thought the issue would have been clarified by the start of the season. Now he seems fed up and threw Cucurella out for the time being.

Should the Spaniard really move to London, the club want to sign a player from Chelsea, according to the report. Central defender Levi Colwill, 19, is said to be the object of desire.

Colwill was loaned to second tier side Huddersfield last season. A transfer is a “separate deal”.

Cucurella would be the club’s all-time record sale if he were to switch. He would replace Ben White (24), who joined Arsenal in 2021 for €58.5m.

Brighton denied rumors of an agreement on Wednesday evening: “Contrary to inaccurate reports by numerous media this evening, no agreement was reached with any club to sell Marc Cucurella.”

Since he is no longer allowed to train, there is at least no longer a risk that he could injure himself and a transfer could fall into the water…
