Precisely, at the end of September it will be Lorenzo’s debut in the ‘Tricolor’ when he faces Guatemala and Mexico, respectively. The coach has been very active in recent days, traveling to different cities in the country and now he will do it abroad, as confirmed by the president of the Colombian Football Federation, Ramón Jesurún.

In this regard, the journalist Carlos Antonio Vélez elaborated in his usual column of Big Words from Planeta Fútbol on Antena 2 about the Colombian National Team. The communicator, to criticize the players, took up a phrase from world champion Thomas Müller about the preparation they do to footballers in Germany.

“In Germany we don’t believe in stars, they teach us from childhood to play as a team and not to shine alone. You won’t see many Germans with a Ballon d’Or, but you can see four world cups in our windows”Said the Bayern Munich player at the time.

In that sense, Vélez used that phrase to send a warning to Néstor Lorenzo about the players he considers they are ‘little figures’ in the Colombian National Team, due to their indifference when it comes to competing.

“That ten have to run for one to play… no, no and no. Nor is football a charity to recover the unrecoverable”, said the journalist.
