The charismatic player from Eibar will face his eighth consecutive season with Urritxe’s team

The Zornotzarra fans will be able to continue enjoying Iker Seguín’s exquisite left foot for another season. The captain of the Amorebieta Sports Society will continue to be linked to Urritxe’s men, as he himself has been in charge of announcing in a video on the club’s social networks. “One more season we will continue to enjoy together. Hey blues!” It was the message that the one from Eibar launched.

In this way, Amorebieta has managed to ensure the continuity of one of the main assets of the squad, not only from last year in the Second Division, in which Seguín proved to be a stiletto on the left wing and had a glove on his left boot with the five assists he served to his teammates.

This will be Iker Seguín’s eighth campaign at Amorebieta. The left-handed winger, just turned 33, joined Urritxe in 2015 from Real Unión de Irun, and a couple of years later he began to wear the captain’s armband. Seguín has played nearly two hundred official matches with Amorebieta, in which he has scored 18 goals and distributed around twenty assists.

With the continuity of the captain, one of the great objectives that Asier Goiria had set in his agenda is fulfilled. The sports director of the blues pointed out to this newspaper that he was working on the ‘renewal’ of two or three members of the squad from last year in the Second Division, without advancing names but suggesting that Iker Seguín and Mikel San José were in the spotlight .

With the first closed, the club is working on convincing the Navarrese midfielder to continue another course at Urritxe, where they trust that he will offer the good performance shown in the final phase of last season. Without forgetting the transfer market either, in which intense work continues to try to close a competitive squad for a First Federation that will start in just over three weeks.
