CAB and YPF announced the renewal of the sponsorship as official sponsor

The national energy company signed the extension for another year and a half of the agreement to accompany Argentine basketball as Official Sponsor, through its men’s and women’s teams.

In an event held in Puerto Madero, the signing of the contract that will keep the Argentine Basketball Confederation and YPF together for another year and a half was made official. Players, leaders and executives of the company were part of it. In this way, YPF will display its brand on the chest of the national jersey.

Facundo Campazzo and Marcos Delía, leaders of the Argentine National Team that will face a new FIBA window and the AmeriCup, were together with Néstor García, coach of the selected team, and Fabián Borro, president of the Argentine Basketball Confederation, in the extension section.

In the renovation, in addition, the players had in their hands the new Kelme clothing, released last Monday by the women’s national team at the South American in San Luis.

“We are proud of the renewal and of being able to share with YPF this very special year where they celebrate their 100th anniversary. It is an emblematic company in our country and its support for men’s and women’s basketball is very important. We are the most federal sport in the country and we are very happy to work together with a company that also claims to be present in every corner of Argentina”, said Fabián Borro, president of the CAB.

“This renewal is the deepening of the commitment we made with Argentine sports. That is why we will continue as sponsors of Argentine basketball, which has very important sporting challenges ahead of it, and there we will be accompanying both the Men’s and Women’s National Teams, which are currently competing in the South American Championship,” explained Santiago Carreras, Manager of Institutional Affairs and Communication at YPF. .

And he added: “We did it with soccer, hockey, tennis, volleyball and we will continue with national basketball. Argentine sport carries the values that YPF wants to transmit as a flagship company”.

This 2022 is a year of much movement for Argentine basketball. In the women’s branch, the U18 South American Championship and the FIBA Americas U18 were organized in Buenos Aires. In addition, the South American Seniors will be held until August 6 in San Luis, where Argentina defends the title. Meanwhile, the men’s team faces the FIBA Qualifiers for the 2023 World Cup with an upcoming match window against Canada (visitor) and Bahamas (locals in Mar del Plata).

Working side by side with CAB’s strategic partners allows for the development and growth of basketball throughout the country, both at the male and female levels, from the training categories to the senior teams.
