BOLASPORT.COM – A bombastic opening will color the BWF tournament calendar when a major badminton tournament is scheduled at the beginning of the year.
The year 2023 will start a new cycle of BWF World Tour tournaments with the addition of tournaments and changes to the level of several competitions.
The Malaysia Open is one of the tournaments that is rising in class.
Previously a Super 750 level tournament, next year’s Malaysia Open will have Super 1000 status along with the All England Open, Indonesia Open and China Open.
The Malaysia Open also had the honor of starting the badminton agenda in 2023 and 2024.
Malaysia Open will be the first tournament.
The competition won by Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti will be held on January 10-15, 2023.
Apart from that, not much has changed to the tournament schedule.
The All England Open is still taking place in March, the Indonesia Open is placed in the middle of the year, while the China Open is held in September.
