Bulls sign Dragic to one-year deal

The Chicago Bulls finalized a one-year, $2.9 million deal with point guard Goran Dragic on Tuesday.

Through a message on Twitter, the group welcomed their new member, announcing the contract, a month after the parties reached an agreement in principle.

Dragic, 36, is averaging 13.7 points on 36.2% shooting from 3-point range in 14 seasons with Phoenix, Houston, Miami, Toronto and Brooklyn.

A native of Slovenia, he was named to the Heat’s All-Star Game during the 2017-18 season and helped the team reach the NBA Finals in 2020.

Dragic averaged 7.5 points on 25.4% of his 3-pointers last season with Toronto and Brooklyn. Although the Bulls finished fourth in the league in 3-point shooting, they were last in attempts.

The Bulls took a big step forward with 46 wins. DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine led the team to its best mark in seven years.
