Bohemians – Baník 3:3, Six goals, Baník drew in Ďolíček

Slezáné did not lose in the league with “Klokany” for the tenth time in a row. Bohemians scored for the second time in the season of the top competition, winning 3:0 in Jablonec in the first round. On the contrary, Ostrava initially lost to Olomouc by the same ratio at home.

Baník made a breakthrough right from the first action of the match in the fourth minute. Kuzmanovic fired from distance and his bouncing shot hit the post. In less than two minutes, the home team answered. Dostál crossed into the box and Hronek equalized with a header at the back post.

Kuzmanovič could have changed the score again, but he headed only into the arms of the goalkeeper Valeš. In the 17th minute, Tetour “greased” a separate escape to Květ with a back pass, who, however, was not mature enough for the visiting goalkeeper Laštůvka.

A minute later, the Prague midfielder corrected his hesitation. Hronek caught Laštůvka’s pass, Puskáč didn’t get to the end, but Květ made no mistake with a ground shot and completed the turn. At the same time, he followed up on a goal from Jablonec.

In the next three minutes, the home team struck again. Hronk’s long drive was extended by Köstl in front of the goal on an unguarded colleague from the defense, Křapko, who, to the joy of the almost sold-out Ďolíček (6,012 spectators), gave Bohemians a two-goal lead.

After half an hour of play, Květ got a chance after Hronka’s pass, and Laštůvka saved Slezany from conceding the fourth goal with a timely run. The home team, who were playing very comfortably, created more opportunities at the end of the opening act. However, Kovařík did not reach Květ’s cross in front of the goal and Petrák did not aim accurately between the three posts either. Köstl’s shot from an angle was again covered by Laštůvka. On the other side, Valeš had difficulty clearing Jaroň’s attempt from the penalty area for a corner.

Baník’s coach Vrba made two changes at half-time, and his team reduced the score four minutes after the change of sides, when Klíma took advantage of Bucht’s pass on the edge of the penalty area. However, the conceded goal did not shake “Klokany” and they continued to outplay their opponents. Kovařík didn’t shoot Laštůvka from the corner and Puskáč failed to score. Then Hronek headed wide.

Slezáné also threatened, but stopper Pokorný narrowly missed the goal. Puškáč again missed the Ostrava goalkeeper from close range and on the other side Klím’s shot from the turn was caught by Valeš. In the 79th minute, however, he was not enough for Tijani’s header from the box after a cross from another substitute player, Sanne, and it was equalized.

Bohemians have not lost seven competitive matches in a row, Baník has not won in the same number of away league duels.
