About to arrive in September, Club Baloncesto Bembibre tries to take a new step in the training work started last season. The great result obtained in the Endesa Women’s League Mini Cup and the extraordinary reception from the basketball sports school of the Bembibre City Council have encouraged the entity to continue with this work. For this reason, it convenes an informative meeting starting at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 25 at the Bembibre Arena.
The entrance tests for the federated teams that it intends to create for the next 2022-2023 campaign will be held at the venue itself on Tuesday, August 30 at 7:00 p.m.
The meeting, which will be held from 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 25, at the Bembibre Arena, is aimed at presenting to parents the project that the Bierzo Alto club wants to launch. On the one hand, it is intended to work in the basketball sports school with girls and boys born between 2007 and 2015 to continue the work started last year and compete again with some categories in school sports championships.

On the other hand, it is about creating federated teams in the female youth categories (born in 2011 and 2012) and female youth (born in 2009 and 2010), the latter aimed at participating in the Endesa Women’s League Mini Cup.
For this reason, the club has organized a day to carry out the access tests in which the girls who can be part of both groups will be selected. It will take place from 7:00 p.m. next Tuesday, August 30, at the Bembibre Arena and will be directed by Juanma Copano and Carlos González Urdiales, responsible for the base categories of the Bembibre club. Girls not only from Bembibre and El Bierzo can participate in it, but the club is open and even interested in getting the participation of players from the entire province of León and other regions and nearby provinces such as Zamora, Palencia, Galicia or Asturias.
