The football world marvels at this Musiala goal

This is how FC Bayern Munich is slowly becoming FC Bayern Musiala!

Bayern beats Wolfsburg 2-0 and stays top of the table. The record champions let VfL fidget for half an hour (only one shot on goal). Luckily, Davies hits his own post on a save (4′). And bad luck when Pavard’s header hits the crossbar (13′).

Then Bayern gets serious (11 shots on goal from the 31st to the 45th minute). And again Jamal Musiala (19) strikes. His 1:0 alone is worth the entrance fee…

33 minutes: Musiala gets the ball from Müller around 20 meters from the goal. With a lightning-fast turn, he dances out Wimmer and Lacroix at the same time and meanders between the two Wolfsburg players.

He stumbles a bit, but doesn’t let himself fall, but scrambles himself back up again. And then Musiala takes the measure: he shoots from 17 meters with his right. The ball hits the bottom left of the VfL box.

The STAND-UP GOAL!

Vice-European champion Giulia Gwinn (like the other Bayern women honored before kick-off) enthuses: “He’s in exceptional form, always good for a goal. You can always count on him, even in such tight situations when you have to stand on his feet.”

The series lasts: Musiala also scores in the third competitive game of the season, scoring his 14th Bundesliga goal in total. He snatches the record from Uli Hoeneß! Of all the FC Bayern U-20 players, no other player has scored as often as the national team player (Hoeneß has hit the best ever with 13 goals).

Bayern easily plays the rest. The goal frenzy like in the Supercup (5:3 against Leipzig) and at the start of the season (6:1 in Frankfurt) is missing this time.

Müller makes a Müller goal, simply stops his foot when Kimmich shoots, deflecting the ball untenably (43′). The goals of Upamecano (58th) and Mané (72nd) are not countered due to offside.

And Wolfsburg?

The team of ex-Bayern coach Niko Kovac withdraws after the 0:2. Motto: Just don’t fill the hut properly…
