The Italian Enea Bastianini (Ducati Desmosedici GP21), the Japanese Ai Ogura (Kalex) and the Spanish Daniel Holgado (KTM) topped their respective training classifications for the Austrian MotoGP Grand Prix at the circuit “Red Bull Ring” by Spielberg, which could be classified as unusual, since both the transalpine and the Spanish achieve this goal for the first time, being the third for the Asian. Rosin Maverick Viñales will start seventh in MotoGP and Girona’s Albert Arenas, ninth in Moto2.

Bastianini was in charge of leading Ducati’s display in the MotoGP classification with the first pole position of his sports career in the premier category, ahead of his compatriot Francesco Pecco Bagnaia (Ducati Desmosedici GP22) , with the world leader, the Frenchman Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha YZR M 1), fifth. Aleix Espargaró (Aprilia RS-GP), who had to earn his way into the second classification from the first, finished in ninth place, third line of the starting formation, and precisely he had to be one of the great protagonists of the first classification, which is why he left quickly and ready to improve his performance on a track where until today he was “clouded” by the new variant and perhaps also conditioned by his injury in the calcaneus His teammate, Maverick Viñales, fared a little better in the classification and will start seventh.

In Moto2, the “pole” went to Ai Ogura, who beat Alonso López by only four hundredths. The world leader, Augusto Fernández, completes the front row. Albert Arenas will start ninth. In Moto3, the fastest was Daniel Holgado, followed by Sasaki and Öncü.
