Basketball: Paris Lee, the American who arrives in the den of the Indomitable Lions

The national basketball team has new blood.

Good news for Cameroon a few weeks before the next qualifying window for the 2023 World Cup to be held at the end of this month in Tunisia.

The former player of Monaco and Orleans Paris Lee (1.83 m, 27 years old) has changed his sporting nationality, and now has a Cameroonian passport. The naturalized Cameroonian should wear the colors of the Indomitable Lions during the next two meetings against Congo and Egypt which will take place respectively on August 26 and 27, 2022.

Still reeling from the French naturalization of Joël Embiid, Cameroon will have to settle for the American professional basketball player of Panathinaikos to hope to qualify for the world championship which will take place from August 25 to September 10, 2023 in Japan, Indonesia and the Philippines.

Point guard Paris Lee was named Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year as a senior in the 2016-17 season.
