Austria’s sensation – Misolic: “It’s not like Kitzbühel here”

Red-white-red great moments
In general, Kitzbühel was a rollercoaster ride of emotions for the ATP debutant: The first-round victory against Dutra da Silva (“An easier opponent”) brought “a bit of self-confidence” and therefore helped for the further course of the tournament. A round later, Pablo Andujar sent him into the next round with no fewer than 14(!) double faults. “You have to take advantage of that when your opponent keeps giving you such chances,” he says, but he doesn’t want to know anything about a free promotion. In the semifinals, which were played on the same day as the quarterfinals, he – logically – “lacked a bit of strength”, and he also doesn’t know how he got back into the game after two breaks. “It was very difficult mentally,” he revealed.
