Aubameyang robbed at gunpoint in his home

The Mossos are looking for at least four hooded men who would have threatened and beaten the Barça footballer with iron bars

Barça player Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has suffered a violent robbery this morning at his home in Castelldefels (Barcelona). The Mossos are looking for at least four hooded men who would have assaulted the soccer player’s home around one in the morning and later fled in a white Audi A3.

According to El País, the thieves robbed the soccer player and his wife at gunpoint, and in the presence of their children, and beat them with iron bars until they finally managed to get hold of several jewels. As they have revealed in Rac1, both the footballer and his wife are fine and only have minor injuries.

It is not the first time that they enter the house of a Barça footballer to steal. In the last two years, Jordi Alba, Luis Suárez, Arthur, Ansu Fati or Piqué have been victims of violent assaults on their homes. Although criminals tend to take advantage of game times to commit robberies, yesterday was different. Aubameyang was already at his home when the thieves broke into the garden of his house. Hours before, Barça played the match corresponding to matchday 3 at home against Valladolid.

Aubameyang is the second player in the Barça dressing room to suffer a robbery in less than a month. A few days ago a luxury watch was ripped from Robert Lewandoski’s hand while he signed autographs for several fans before entering the training camps of the culé entity.
