ATP > Medvedev: “I was as happy to see Nadal win his 22nd Grand Slam at Roland-Garros as Djokovic his 21st at Wimbledon”

Even if he never hid that he got along very well with Novak Djokovic, and probably better than with Nadal or Federer for example, Daniil Medvedev is above all a lover of his sport.

And when he saw the Spaniard get his 14e Roland‐Garros last June and therefore its 22e Grand Slam tournament, the Russian was simply happy for him, as he was for his friend Djokovic a few weeks later.

“To identify Rafa, I have only one word to say: incredible. He is an extraordinary fighter, an extraordinary warrior and an extraordinary person, with great mental strength. It was a great moment at Roland Garros, he took his number of Grand Slam titles to 22 and I was happy, as I was with Nole (Novak Djokovic), when he reached 21 titles at Wimbledon. »
