Athletes already train in the pool – El Sol de Hidalgo

Nearly 100 athletes from Hidalgo from seven disciplines already train in the pool of the Hidalgo High-Performance Sports Center (CDHAR), this after this space was closed during the pandemic for high-performance athletes.

Initially, some of the beneficiaries are selected by the state for water sports such as open water, swimming and adapted sports with swimming.

Boxing, judo, taekwondo and associated wrestling athletes are added, with whom strengthening and relaxation work is done, authorities from the Hidalgo Sports Institute (Inhide) reported.

To these activities, they point out that athletes have been progressively integrating for a month and that until today, there are about 100 athletes who in some cases complement the work of their disciplines with strengthening and relaxation and in other cases, return to seek to resume as much as possible the work they had been doing inside the pool until before the health contingency.

It is important to remember that this space has been closed approximately since April 2020, the month in which events began to be canceled and activities stopped due to the contagion derived from the Covid-19 virus, which caused some swimmers to seek private spaces to continue their training. .

It is expected that in the next few days there will be news for those who practice water polo who have also had complications in training.
