Ansan Greeners Releases Special Edition T-shirt & Scarf Asnawi Mangkualam Bahar’s Debut Goal

Asnawi became the first player in Ansan’s history to produce a special edition T-shirt and scarf.

The success of Asnawi Mangkualam Bahar scoring his first goal in K League 2 received appreciation from Ansan Greeners. The club’s management released a special edition shirt for Asnawi’s debut goal during a home match against Busan IPark on September 4.

Asnawi scored his first goal when Ansan smothered Gimpo Citizen 3-1 at the Ansan Wa Stadium on July 23. The goal was created by Asnawi after his 1.5 season career in K League 2.

Ansan’s management has temporarily stopped producing these T-shirts and scarves on a large scale. They only released 150 shirts and scarves, and only sold during the September 4 game.

This is the first time Ansan has released a special edition merchandise for a player. The decision to issue a special edition T-shirt and scarf following the success of Ansan’s ‘Indonesia Fan Day’ program. The moment became special, because Asnawi scored his first goal.

One of Ansan’s officials said that the background of making the special edition T-shirts and scarves was due to the very high interest of Indonesian fans towards Asnawi. Jersey Ansan experienced an increase in sales. The same goes for home game tickets.

It can not be separated from the Indonesian community in South Korea. Based on national statistics, there are at least 30,062 Indonesians living in South Korea. When Indonesia Fan Day was held, match tickets were sold up to 3,019 pieces.

“The response was great on the last day of the Indonesian fan day, and Asnawi scored his debut goal that day. This is the first time there is Asnawi merchandise, and even this is the first time special player merchandise in the history of the Ansan club,” explained one of the Ansan officials quoted on the website. “The ratio of Indonesian fans in buying merchandise is very high compared to Korean fans. Jersey sales at the start of the season were very good, although they declined as the season progressed. Sales have increased 20 to 30 times. So are the scarves.”

“The reaction from the Indonesian community is very good, and they are still interacting with the club. Indonesians are looking forward to products like this.”

The official added that for the time being they have not considered selling special edition T-shirts and scarves online. However, if demand is high enough, it is possible that production will be increased to meet market demand.

“Unfortunately, for now we are only selling at the venue (stadium). This is also why we call them special editions, as they are limited in number. But if in the future there is still a lot of demand, we will sell it online or offline, “explained the official.
