An NBA champion returns to the Euroleague

Nemanja Bjelica he returns to Europe, to be precise in Istanbul, the city from which he took off to the United States and there NBA. After seven years, the Serbian felt the need to return to play in the borders of the Old Continent and has once again chosen the Fenerbahce to show off his great talent.

Bjelica had already decided to return to Europe in early July, as reported by Marc Stein, who had announced his return to Turkey. The agreement was officially announced today.

The Serbian big forward won the NBA title last June with the Golden State Warriors, also playing a few pieces of the game in the NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics.

The Californian franchise would have gladly detained the Serbian born in 1988 in Oakland, but with a contract at the wage limit. However, the economic motivation should not exceed the competitive one, with Bjelica who certainly had nothing more to ask from his overseas experience after winning the title. The basketball player now intends to play more and always at high levels, because Dimitris Itoudis’ new Fenerbahce certainly does not want to play the role of extra in the maximum continental competition.
