Judo / World Juniors 2022: Algeria with four representatives in Ecuador

Four judokas (2 Boys and 2 Girls) will represent Algeria at the Junior World Championships, scheduled for August 10 to 13 in Guayaquil (Ecuador), we learned on Saturday from the Algerian Federation of the discipline (FAJ) .


They are Hadi Yasmine (-48 kg) and Djellab Yasmine (-63 kg) among girls, as well as Moudathir Kaïs Mahieddine (-66 kg) and Banattia Rayan Zakaria (-90 kg) among boys.
“The boys are led by Djamil Bounab and the girls by Soraya Haddad, while the Algerian delegation is led in Ecuador by Mustapha Lamali, member of the Executive Board of the FAJ” we still learned from the same source.
The national team participates in this competition with the objective of “going as far as possible” and “representing the national colors well”.
A total of 392 judokas (219 boys and 173 girls), representing 65 countries, participate in these Worlds.
Ecuador, the host country of the competition is the best represented, with 28 judokas involved (15 G/13W), ahead of Japan and France, which both participate with 18 judokas.
