After a one-year suspension | Jalen Harris returns to the NBA

(Toronto) Jalen Harris has been given the green light to rejoin the NBA and its players’ association after a one-year suspension following a positive doping test.

The Toronto Raptors own the rights to the guard, who is a restricted free agent. However, the team has already reached the allowed limit of 20 players before the start of their camp.

Harris was suspended for one year on 1is July 2021, following a positive test for a substance banned by the NBA Joint Anti-Doping Program and the NBA Players Association.

The 24-year-old American has spent the last few months playing for the Scarborough Shooting Stars in the Canadian Elite Basketball League. He averaged 19.9 points per game and made 41% of his shots.

The Raptors drafted Harris at 59e 2020 NBA auction rank. He set a career-high with a 32-point performance against the Dallas Mavericks on May 14, 2021.
