FC BAYERN: Kimmich Captain number 3

New power hierarchy at the record champions! After Manuel Neuer and Thomas Müller, Joshua Kimmich (27) has now been made the third captain by Nagelsmann. In addition to the trio and Coman, Leon Goretzka (27) is now also represented on the team council.

BVB: Tickets are now being raffled

LEIPZIG: More children’s season tickets

Season ticket record for RB! The Leipzig Cup victory (5:3 against Freiburg) made waves. The Saxons have now sold 32,200 season tickets. And above all mobilize the very young generation! There has been a big increase in children’s season tickets.

FREIBURG: Fan record for Arena

In October 2021, the SC moved to the new stadium – now the first full season is taking place in the arena, which has 34,700 seats. Means: Freiburg can expect the highest average attendance of all time (so far 23959 in the 2016/17 season).

MAINZ: Now also with a women’s team

Mainz has finally discovered its heart for women’s football! The club started a cooperation with Schott Mainz (regional league) and will take over the women’s team completely next season. Goal: Promotion to the 2nd league and in the medium term also to the Bundesliga.

The new Mainz captain is also Silvan Widmer (29).

HOFFENHEIM: All coaches changed

At TSG everything is set to restart! Patron Dietmar Hopp (82): “Our claim must be top football again.” Not only André Breitenreiter (48) is new as Hoeneß’s successor. With one exception, all coaches were changed for the youngsters down to the U12 level.

GLADBACH: Farke opens the training door

The new coach wants more fan proximity! Daniel Farke (45/most recently FK Krasnodar) significantly reduces the number of secret training sessions compared to ex-coach Adi Hütter (52): “This club lives from the emotions of its fans, so we make as much public as possible.”

Also new: Borussia is founding its own e-sports academy (“establish a FIFA team with a foal philosophy”).

AUGSBURG: Gregoritsch exchanged away

Everything is new in Augsburg. Coach Enrico Maassen (38) – a Bundesliga newcomer – follows Markus Weinzierl (47). The system and the way of playing will be changed, Augsburg wants to be more active. In addition, Michael Gregoritsch (28/went to Freiburg) no longer storms in the center, but Ermedin Demirović (24/came in exchange with Gregoritsch).

STUTTGART: VfB on the construction site

In the new season, VfB will have to play their home games on a large construction site! The stadium is being modernized for almost 100 million euros. Among other things, the complete sinking of the main grandstand including cabins has been demolished. The teams have to change in a sports hall under the Untertürkheim curve.

HERTHA: “Platte” has the bandage

Marvin Plattenhardt (30) becomes the new Hertha captain! The left-back has been playing in Berlin since 2014 and even became a national player here. After three weaker seasons, ex-coach Felix Magath (69) made him a key player. He has now been promoted to captain under new coach Sandro Schwarz (43).

BREMEN: “Wiesenhof” away from Werder breast

Bremen’s main sponsor, the PHW Group, no longer goes into the race with its best-known brand “Wiesenhof” on its jersey. Instead, the players now advertise with “Green Legend” (produce meat substitutes).

In addition, defender Ösi Marco Friedl (24) leads the Bremen team as captain this season.

UNION: Money summit climbed

Union climbs the next peak in TV money. The sporting successes of recent years (including entry into the Europa League) are paying off. TV revenues from the Bundesliga increase from EUR 39.41 million to around EUR 55 million.

COLOGNE: Boss wants to talk now

Cologne’s sports boss Christian Keller (43/in office since April) is now also speaking AFTER the games! He didn’t want to give any interviews until the cup game in Regensburg because he had to get used to it first. After the bitter bankruptcy (5:6 nE) he found drastic words: “The elimination really sucks.”

FRANKFURT: curve is extended

Euro-King Daichi Kamada (25/previously offensive playmaker) now kicks as a six. In the cup in Magdeburg (4:0) he scored two goals in his new role. Also: over the course of the season, the fan area in the northwest curve will be expanded – from 7,500 to 17,500 standing places.

WOLFSBURG: Radishes & turnips grown

Gardening season has begun! From this season on, the wolves will plant their cooking ingredients themselves in two brick gutters (ten meters long, two meters wide). In addition to various herbs, there will soon be fresh salads, turnips, radishes and beetroot. Also new: Maxi Arnold (28) is the new captain.

BOCHUM: Deposit for beer mugs

VfL is changing its deposit strategy! From the new season, a cup deposit of two euros will be charged for Bochum home games for the first time. The fans can get the money back after the final whistle – or they donate it to a good cause.

SCHALKE: 11 additions & car advertising

Schalke is completely new! The Royal Blues start the new season with head coach Frank Kramer (50). A total of eleven external additions to the promoted team have also been added. The logo of the sponsor “MeinAuto.de” is now emblazoned on the jerseys, provided by the new outfitter 11Teamsports/Adidas.
