2023 U20 World Cup progress, FIFA has a record for Indonesia All

KOMPAS.com – Chairman of PSSI, Mochamad Iriawan, expressed the progress of the 2023 U20 World Cup. According to him, FIFA has provided a number of notes for Indonesia as the host.

This was conveyed when PSSI and Kemenpora held a meeting related to the implementation of the 2023 U20 World Cup on Monday (29/8/2022) night WIB.

The meeting was attended by Menpora Zainudin Amali, Acting Sesmenpora Joni Madrizal, Deputy IV of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Chandra Bhakti, and Experts from the Ministry of Youth and Sports Gatos S Dewabroto.

In the PSSI camp, there were General Chairperson Mochamad Iriawan, Deputy Iwan Budianto, Secretary General Yunus Nusi, Deputy Secretary General Maaika Ira Puspita, and Technical Director Indra Sjafri.

The Ministry of Public Works and Rakuat Housing (PU PR), the Ministry of Health, the Police, and several related agencies attended the meeting.

As for Iriawan, FIFA has provided a note for Indonesia after a visit on June 8-17 June 2022.

At that time, FIFA representatives visited six cities to see six stadiums as potential venues for the U20 World Cup.

“During the visit, FIFA finally concluded temporarily regarding several things. For example, stadium grass, training field grass,” said Iriawan as quoted from the official PSSI website.

“Then, the type of work that must be done. There is also related to the condition of the stadium infrastructure. So, we will improve the FIFA records, of course working with the authorities,” said Iriawan.

Iriawan also thanked a number of ministries that had been helping PSSI, the Police, and President Joko Widodo.

“Don’t forget, most importantly, thank you to President Joko Widodo who has always helped PSSI,” said the man who is familiarly called Iwan Bule.

“Is it related to the U19 team’s training camp that will compete in the U20 World Cup or the construction and improvement of stadium infrastructure,” added Iriawan.

Meanwhile, six are being prepared for the U20 World Cup, namely Jakabaring Stadium (Palembang), Bung Karno Stadium (Jakarta), Si Starling Harupat (Bandung), Manahan (Solo), Bung Tomo Stadium (Surabaya), and Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium. (Bali).

The 2023 U20 World Cup will be held in Indonesia on 20 May-11 June next year.
