The Xàtiva Badminton Club will be present this weekend in the third test of the Parabadminton National Circuit that is held in Toledo, at the Hospital Nacional de Paraplegicos sports center, and in which 19 athletes from Spanish territory will participate. Among them, the CB Xàtiva player Selenia Plawhat will participate in the women’s individual events SL4; mixed doubles SL4-SU5, together with the Asturian player Pablo Serrano; and in the inclusive modeforming a couple with Miguel Àngel Polo.
Selenia Pla has trained throughout the month of July to stay in shape and be able to face this third round of the National Circuit with guarantees of success. In fact, the athlete from Setabense is already in Toledo, where this week she is participating in the Integration and Parabadminton Conference that will take place until next Sunday in the Castilian town of La Mancha. The player has already participated in these sessions in previous editions and this year she has come to take advantage of the event to continue training under the orders of the national managers of the para-badminton area, since the sessions cover both technical and tactical work.
Toledo is also hosting these days -from Wednesday to Friday- a training in parabadminton, classification and inclusion, taking advantage of the days of inclusion and parabadminton that have been held since last Monday, and in this training for technicians there is also representation from Setabense, since it participates Mª José Mompó. The athlete and technique of Badminton Xàtiva will thus expand her knowledge of this modality.
