Montefiascone – WiPlanet closes the championship in third place.
A WiPlanet with important absences due to injuries and suspensions on the last day of the Serie C championship surrenders 10-5 to a young but technically well-equipped Dolphins Anzio in top form. In fact, several boys of the team are on a training tour de force, as they are part of the Lazio Senior League Team, which won the European selection and in a few days will leave for the United States for the World series in the category.
In the Faliscan team, without taking anything away from the boys who played, the absences of the receiver Gasparrini were heard (injured) and the pitcher Michele Carletti (disqualified). The spirit of sacrifice with which both Marianello and Pepponi made themselves available as receivers, the latter also supporting the team on the mountain, as well as in third base and outside center.
Despite the absences, the game was within reach of Montefiascone, if it hadn’t been for a bad third inning, where the Tyrrhenians scored 5 points, thanks also to 4 bases on ball granted by the starter Badea.
Also in the joke there were important gaps in the line-up, only partially compensated by excellent performances by Tabarrini, Banco and Pacchiarelli (2 valid each).
To confirm the overall growth of the team, all those present on the bench played, however doing their part. After the championship, the team will continue to train anyway, precisely to continue the technical growth, the main objective of the season.
The youth sector, which has just been reconstituted, is instead in full swing. After the “Batti e Cresci” on 3 July in Montefiascone, the activity on the field continued, with lots of fun and great progress for the boys, who got ready for an August still full of initiatives: Sunday 7, a one-day tournament at Grosseto, with the Beginners category and the participation of Pisa, in addition to the premises of the BSC, while the Minibaseball is preparing for other days of “Batti e Cresci” with Tuscany.
Then, at the end of the month, the open days, reserved for those born between 2008 and 2018, to collect new memberships and start the trial period.
One day will be reserved for girls only, with the aim of activating a new youth women’s softball team.
For those who register, both Esordienti and Minibaseball will participate in the Lazio cup, thus returning to the official activity of Federbaseball.
