Win against Brondby – Hansa ready for league two – football

There you go, Hansa is ready for his second second division season (start: Sunday against Heidenheim) – 3:1 (0:1) in the dress rehearsal against Danish first division team Bröndby!

Also remarkable because for Brondby the season also starts next weekend and therefore no experiments were carried out.

Hansa trainer Jens Härtel (53): “We wanted to see that we could put what we had trained on onto the pitch, and overall that went well.”

Much focused on putting pressure on opponents who had possession of the ball. Accordingly, the Danes hardly had any chances. However, Bröndby took the lead after Cappis solo (44th). Haertel: “We had a few chances from set pieces, I was satisfied in the first half too, even though we were behind. We were rewarded in the second half.” Ingelsson (after a Froling pass/49′), Froling (55′) and Munsy (87′) turned the game around in front of 13,000 fans.

What worked? New midfield signings Dennis Dressel and Sébastien Thill in the starting XI settled well at their new level. Last year’s six Lukas Fröde was sovereign as a three-chain boss. Where does improvement need to be made? Haertel: “When we’re deep and have won the ball, there aren’t any passing points. The two strikers have to start marching.”

The pre-season conclusion before the game against Heidenheim (lost 2-0 in Hoffenheim): “We didn’t lose a game in pre-season, but next week everything could be different again. Therefore: keep the ball flat, let some steam on the boiler…”
