In Ploërmel, the astronomical clock
Built from 1850 to 1855 by Brother Bernardin, this clock was classified as a Historic Monument in 1982. Located in the interior courtyard of the La Mennais brothers’ house, it has two hundred gables which control ten dials and the entire solar system. In addition, right next door are the Museum of Natural Sciences and the Jean-Marie-de-La-Mennais Museum.
