Vietnamese Media Accuses Indonesia of Changing the Venue of the 2022 AFF U-16 Cup suddenly to make it difficult for the country

BOLASPORT.COM – Vietnamese media have accused the 2022 AFF U-16 Cup venue changes to make things difficult for their country.

As is known, the 2022 AFF U-16 Cup will be held in Indonesia.

Initially, there were two stadiums used by PSSI for the 2022 AFF U-16 Cup, namely Patriot Candrabagha Stadium (Bekasi) and Gelora Bung Karno Stadium (Jakarta).

However, the AFF as the tournament organizer did not give any funds for this event, so PSSI had to rack their brains.

Then, PSSI changed the tournament venue to Maguwoharjo Stadium (Sleman) and Sultan Agung Stadium (Bantul).

Moreover, the rental figures for the two initial stadiums were considered too expensive.

“Regarding financing. AFF did not provide funds for this event and it was transferred directly to the host,” said Yunus Nusi to the media crew, Wednesday (13/7/2022).

“So we will be overwhelmed if only the youth are held at the Madya Stadium and Bekasi,” he added.

PSSI switched to Yogyakarta because the stadium rental price was cheaper than in Jakarta and Bekasi.
