The Medellín EPM Team shone in the fifth stage of the Return to Venezuela 2022; by achieving 1-2-3 through Victor OcampoCristian Montoya and Weimar Roldán on a fairly rainy day, reported sports media.
In this way, Ocampo, champion of the time trial of the 2021 Junior Pan American Games, won in the fifth fraction of the Venezuelan round, in a route over 187.6 kilometers starting at the Ortiz Circuit and finishing in Puerto Cabello, Carabobo state.
The rider from Antioquia had the honor of leading his team’s display, after being the fastest in the chaotic pack, beating his two teammates in the final meters.
Luis Gómez (Team Carabobo) remained at the head of the individual general classification of the Vuelta a Venezuela with 2 seconds difference over his compatriot César Sanabria (Venezuela País Futuro – Fina Arroz) and 12 over the Colombian Weimar Roldán (Team Medellín EPM) .
This Friday the sixth stage of the Venezuelan tour will take place, a flat section over 131.4 kilometers in the San Felipe circuit, in Yaracuy.
