European Basketball Universities Championship preliminary round matches have started. In the championship, in which 16 teams took part in 4 groups, Beykent University in Group C managed to beat its rival Croatia’s Zagreb University with a score of 58-55.
Beykent University, which played the finals in the last two championships, will play its other matches in the group against Hungarian University of Sports Science and University of Liege.

Youth and Sports Minister Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu congratulated Beykent University, which won the championship by beating Gazi University in the men’s volleyball final of the European University Games where Turkish teams faced.
Kasapoğlu congratulated the champion Beykent University with the following message:
“The fact that Beykent University and Gazi University faced off in the final was a source of pride for us. I congratulate Beykent University, which has won the championship for the third time. I congratulate Gazi University for making it to the finals. I wish the success of both our universities to continue in sports.”
