The Soria Basketball Club will have 17 federated teams

The Soria Basketball Club continues to grow and will have a total of 17 federated teams next season. Two of them, the male Transler and the female Semillas Adolfo Martínez, will compete in the First Division, while the other fifteen, ten of them male and five female, have pre-registered in the competitions for the lower categories organized by the Basketball Federation of Castile and León. Two of the three recently created teams, one Junior and one Children, are female and the list of novelties is completed by a male Cadet squad. In this way, the Soriano club has grown in the last three years, going from having 10 federated teams to the 17 already mentioned.

After the completion of the competitions, open days were held, in which young people interested in joining the club participated. The number of cateranos that continued with respect to last season, in addition to the basketball players who joined their ranks, have allowed us to grow and know the number of federated teams that will be pre-registered to the Castilla y León Basketball Federation. The main objective was to maintain the same number of teams as last season, 14 in total, and to create a junior women’s team and a third men’s team. The fact that there are so many players born in 2009 and 2010 shows the good work done by the Soria Basketball Club Nursery School and the interest of young people in this sport.

In the 2020-2021 season, from the ten teams that existed in the 2019-2020 campaign, they went on to have eight teams, a reduction marked by the Covid-19 pandemic, leaving the Pre-Infantile category without calling and without having a Junior Women’s team . For the 2021-2022 season, an important step was taken by registering a team in the Women’s First Division, in addition to having a Men’s Junior team and a Children’s team, returning to compete in the Men’s Pre-infantile and the Women’s Pre-infantile and the Women’s Pre-infantile were created. Male Alevin.

The increase in federated teams is a symptom of the enormous growth of the CSB, becoming a success since it was founded in 2015, when they set their objectives in the functional act: “This club was born by and for its youth academy, so that boys and girls from Soria soon find their favorite sport in basketball. Its mission is to consolidate itself and improve year after year so that, with a model based on transparency and the participation of all its members, it has no limits, beyond looking forward to up”. A goal that, after seven years, is being fulfilled every season.
