Genesio remembers that the signings do not depend only on him and that a consensus is needed

Bruno Genesio, Rennes coach, has acknowledged that there are doubts regarding the signing of Umtiti. The coach, who knows the central defender well from his time at Lyon, was less blunt this time about the central defender’s incorporation. “He is a player that I like a lot. There are doubts about his physical condition, so I understand that, for the club , that could be something that stops the deal,” he said with total honesty.
