The NBA 3X presented by Foot Locker returns again to Barcelona. It is a free 3×3 basketball tournament open to players in categories of under-16, under-18 and +18will take place the weekend of September 3 and 4 at the new refurbished track in the Parc del Poblenou in Barcelona.
Equipment registration can now be done at nba.com/3xbarcelona, the participation of about seventy teams is expected. The two winners in the +18 category (male and female) will win an all-expenses-covered trip to the NBA Paris Game 2023 in January.
That matchup will feature the six-time NBA champion Chicago Bulls and the three-time champion Detroit Pistons (more info here). Foot Locker will also award gift cards to the best teams in the under-16 and under-18 categories (male and female).
The Parc del Poblenou track in Barcelona was premiered in October 2021 as part of Foot Locker’s ‘Raise the Game’ programme. Launched in 2020, the goal of the initiative is to help, encourage and fund local basketball networks and organizations in Europe that have invested in promoting change in their communities through sport and culture.
Fans attending NBA 3X will also be able to enjoy different activities on and off the court.including skill challenges, shooting contests and appearances by local DJs.
