The FBC grants scholarships to two players to participate in the ‘No Camiño’ Basketball Campus

The Ceuta Basketball Federation (FBC) has awarded scholarships, for the first time in many years, to two players so that they can attend the Campus Baloncesto no Camiño, which is held in the Galician city of Sarria (Lugo). Specifically, the FBC has awarded scholarships to two male players, from the cadet and child categories, Sergio Miaja Martín and Mohamed Mohamed Mohamed, who will be accompanied by assistant coach Ayoub El Kharrim.

“Our main objective is to continue training our players and our coaches” stated Borja Molinary, technical director of the FBC. In addition, Molinary has stressed that this will serve as an example for future summers.

Campus Basketball on the way

This sporting event is held in Sarriá, the Galician city with the minimum distance to complete the Camino de Santiago. And its director is Miguel Ángel Hoyo, a coach from Ceuta who has developed professionally in Galicia, has been an assistant to ACB and has also participated internationally in European countries.

The campus will host between 120 and 140 people, and is focused on training categories. For the development of their activities, they will have high-performance professionals: head coaches, physical trainers and physiotherapists who have participated in professional categories such as the ACB.

And although the main objective is to play and perfect basketball, they will also carry out different recreational activities. “It will be a very intense few weeks, they will start training around eight in the morning, and they will be almost until eleven at night”, explained Molinary.

This Galician basketball campus began about 15 years ago and almost since its inception, Ceutans have participated. In fact, Borja Molinary was the first from Ceuta to attend, as an assistant coach.
