The City Council makes a “very positive” balance of the Fiestas del Carmen 2022

The Suances City Council has highlighted the “very positive” balance left by the celebration of the Fiestas del Carmen 2022, which have just ended after a few “very crowded” days that have brought together “thousands” of people.

The Councilor for Celebrations, José Luis Plaza, has valued in a press release that all the days have been marked “by high participation, the festive atmosphere and respect”.

It’s been that way since the “chupinazo that kicked off the festivities, led by Javier Garruchuga and his Mondragón orchestra; until the final climax by Andy and Lucasgoing through the fireworks, the music band, the big heads, the children’s workshops, judo or Boleros Thursday, which were the preamble to a party in which “the high attendance and the festive atmosphere and conviviality” prevailed.

Likewise, the consistory has highlighted the “special” moments that were experienced on Saturday during the land and sea procession of the Day of Carmen, after two years without being able to celebrate it due to the pandemic. Thus, numerous visibly moved people accompanied the Virgin from the parish church to the port and, later, on its way out through the estuary.

The councilor thanked “the involvement” of the population, as well as municipal personnel, Local Police, Civil Protection and Civil Guard, who have collaborated in the development of the different events and “have contributed to the success of the festivities”.
