The SwitzerlandBERN – r national baseball team has won the European Championship qualification tournament in Utena in Lithuania. After defeating Romania (11:0), Finland (10:9) and Lithuania (15:14) in the preliminary round, head coach Chris Brynes’ team defeated the hosts 3:1 in the final. Next spring, the Swiss will be able to play against the winners of the other two qualifying tournaments, France and Hungary, for participation in the European Championship finals in the Czech Republic in autumn 2023.
