“Super Nova”, the last winner of the Premier League, wins the second victory in a row

“Super Nova” beat Jurmala “Spartak” 3:2 (2:2) and celebrated the second victory in a row.

After this match, two points separate “Super Nova” and the penultimate team “Metta”, but the Riga players have one game in reserve.

The guests were the first to change the result of the game, when Regža, who scored two goals in the previous match, scored in the fourth minute. After Yehor Smirnov’s pass from the left flank, Regza was superior in a duel at the goal and made it 1:0.

In the 18th minute, after making a pass to Aleksandar Solovyov, Lea Gauša headed the ball into the “Super Nova” goal. However, five minutes later, Regža, after playing with Eduards Vishniakova, scored again and brought the Salaspils back to the lead.

The flurry of goals continued and in the 30th minute, after a mistake by Smirnova, the ball was intercepted by Gauš, who scored his second goal in the match – 2:2.

In the 59th minute of the game, Regža made a strong shot from the middle of the penalty area, the ball flying well over the “Spartak” goal. The young striker also hit the goal 15 minutes before the end of regular time, missing another chance to complete his “hat-trick”.

A couple of minutes later, after a pass from Ricardas Ruļļis, Kristers Atar hit the ball into the net and made it 3:2 in favor of “Super Nova”.

Jūrmalnieki announced the arrival of a new coach last weekend, with Spanish specialist Viktor Basadres taking over the team, but in the debut of the new coach, “Spartaks” failed against “Riga”, losing 1:2.

Meanwhile, “Super Nova” won the Tukuma team 2:1 in the last game, achieving their first victory in the Super League. Both goals for “Super Nova” were scored by Marco Regza.

The first mutual match between the teams ended in a goalless draw, but in May, the seafarers won by 3:0.

At 18:00 in Tukuma, the local team will host RFS, this game will also be broadcast live on the TV channel TV4.

The 23rd round will continue on Sunday, when “Metta” hosts “Liepāja”, and on Monday, when “Auda” and “Valmiera” teams meet at “Skonto” stadium. The last match of the 23rd round between “Riga” and “Daugavpils” was moved to August 15.
