A number of scenarios can make Indonesian U-19 National Team eliminated from AFF U-19 Cup 2022 after a 0-0 draw with Thailand, Wednesday (6/7).
Indonesia failed to win for the second time in Group A of the AFF U-19 Cup after being held by Thailand in the third match at the Patriot Stadium.
The minus result makes the Red and White Team in fourth place in Group A with five points in three matches.
Indonesia is now two points behind Thailand and Vietnam, who are at the top of the standings with two games remaining.
The next two matches against the Philippines and Myanmar will determine the fate of Garuda Nusantara in this U-19 AFF Cup, qualify for the semifinals or be eliminated.
Several conditions that became a strange scenario allowed Shin Tae Yong’s team to fail to reach the semifinals of the 2022 AFF U-19 Cup. Because on paper, Indonesia deserved to win over the Philippines and Myanmar.
